Today, we celebrate Earth Day. A day that reminds us that the Earth is not something we own, but something we are entrusted with. A shared responsibility. A moment to reflect on an essential question: what kind of world are we leaving behind, and what are we giving forward?

Across the globe, we see the consequences of overexploiting the Earth: droughts, food insecurity, loss of biodiversity. In Hoedspruit, South Africa, where BOOST The World is actively engaged, these challenges are part of everyday life. Water is scarce. Food security is fragile. And yet, this is exactly where hope grows.

Together with the local community, we invest in:

  • sustainable food production
  • education and leadership development for children and young people
  • awareness and action aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Not by imposing solutions, but by building together, that is, strengthening resilient communities that care for their environment today and for generations to come.

Today, the world celebrates Human Rights Day, marking the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948. This day reminds us of the fundamental rights that belong to every person—regardless of origin, gender, religion, social status, or beliefs.

At BOOST The World, we believe that equality and human rights are not just ideals—they are essential building blocks for a fair and sustainable world. Our mission is to empower communities, create opportunities, and foster leadership so that everyone—from children to adults—can contribute to a better future.

Human Rights and Our Vision

Our vision is rooted in three universal values: love, care, and wisdom. These values guide everything we do, and human rights are deeply connected to them:

  • Right to Education: Knowledge and skills are keys to freedom and development. That’s why we invest in learning programs and a community center where young people can learn about leadership and sustainability.

  • Right to Water and Food: Access to clean drinking water and nutritious food is a basic human right. Our project in Hoedspruit, South Africa, focuses on building water wells and growing fruits and vegetables so communities can become self-sufficient.

  • Right to a Dignified Life: Equality means everyone has a voice. We promote inclusive decision-making and leadership so that no one is left behind.
