In Hoedspruit we have 2 hectares of land enclosed with fences, a vegetable garden, a security gate, toilets, and a shower building.
It's a large community. Nearly 33,500 people, 60% (approximately 20,000) of whom are children.
Step 1 is almost finished building thanks to all the donations.
Many children worldwide experience malnourishment and stunted growth. An often monotonous diet is the only thing they have access to. This results in many children having disabilities like bad eyesight or an underdeveloped brain.
Our food program helps children to eat a varied, well-balanced diet and to be monitored in how the food impacts their health for at least a year.
Board members do not receive any remuneration for their work.
They are entitled to reimbursement of actual expenses incurred and/or a reasonable holiday allowance in accordance with statutory provisions.
2025 marked a powerful relaunch for our Foundation. Under the leadership of our new program director, we built a robust internal structure and increased our visibility. And we have regained our ANBI status.
Our fundraising received a new boost thanks to structured crowdfunding campaigns on WhyDonate, among other things.
In South Africa, concrete results were – and still are – achieved. A special milestone was the commitment of a Dutch construction company to make our site in South Africa functionally well. This will create a fully-fledged educational community center for the surrounding villages, a place where skills are developed and employment grows. The saying “It takes a village to raise a child” takes on concrete meaning here.
We have made contact between Dutch and South African universities. This will enable us to bring (medical) students to South Africa and make a valuable contribution to the local community. And our Dutch students will gain practice in circumstances not as usual.
.
For this year 2026, the foundation focuses on strengthening small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises by investing in water, energy and hands-on training for young people and (unmarried) teenage mothers.
Financial need approx. € 375,000
Annual training costs approx. € 50,000
BOOST The World works through a local organization in South Africa and wants to build structural cooperation with Dutch partners and the Dutch Embassy by 2026.
With the new board, we have developed an ambitious and forward-looking Policy Plan 2026–2030, paving the way for a world in which 500,000 young people will develop their heart-centered leadership skills. We measure the number of young people through:
Our ambition is clear: by 2030, we want to guide hundreds of thousands of young people worldwide in their development into inclusive leaders. Through training, coaching, and mentoring, we offer a heart-centered education that empowers them to strengthen their communities.
We actively involve educational institutions in our mission and invite students to participate in our international projects.
To promote transparency, we organize BOOST expeditions to our learning communities, so donors and sponsors can see firsthand what their support makes possible.
BOOST The World is on the cusp of a powerful growth phase.
In the coming years, we will strengthen our internal communication and coordination to ensure our activities are even more closely aligned worldwide. At the same time, we will increase our visibility and impact through inspiring external communications.
Our successful learning community project in Hoedspruit, South Africa, is currently at the heart of our approach.
This project is developing into an international example that we are excited to share with other countries eager for sustainable, inclusive learning environments. We are already in discussions with partners in India, Indonesia, and several countries in South America.

Over 90% of your donation directly supports our mission to help children in South Africa through food programs, access to clean water, and education. In doing so, we empower them to become the leaders of tomorrow. We also provide education to their communities. Only a small portion of donations is used to maintain our website. Transparency and impact are our top priorities. Feel free to ask us about it.

Yes! First and foremost, we’re active in the Netherlands. We visit schools to talk about our mission and the project in South Africa. We also teach children that education is about more than just reading and math. Our presentations focus on personal leadership and are tailored to primary school levels. We expect to expand to Indonesia, India, and Pakistan soon. Ultimately, we aim to support children around the world in their personal development as future leaders. Your support is essential—thank you!
